It's true, the Smiths are actually blogging. We've finally become motivated to take the time and create a blog in hopes that we will get lots of ideas from family and friends for planning our USA road trip this summer.
Please add us to your list of blogs to check. We not only want your ideas for must see places in the USA, but we hope to meet friends and family along the way.

Wow! I am shocked!! But, at least now we get to see your fabulous pictures and keep tabs on you guys! :)
ReplyDeleteNow, your road trip will eventually find it's way through Nor Cal, right?
We've been so not into blogs its a little shocking, but it will be fun. We'll post some photos soon and actually "design" the blog eventually. As far as the summer trip, I think we will end up heading home across the 80...we should plan to meet somewhere fun. Give me some good ideas!
ReplyDeleteI have been known as Cousin-It...
ReplyDeleteMost of Missouri's LDS attractions are up North, and are fairly easy to find. Unless you are interested in Branson as a day of Amusement.
The 80 is a good choice if after a long trip you just want to get home. But not very scenic. They have politely placed a McDonalds in the median every 60 miles or so though.
ReplyDeleteexcellent...60 miles is exactly the capacity of my diet coke bladder.
ReplyDeletemine too! (does it make C as upset as it makes JP?)
ReplyDeleteI'm in East Tennessee and we are a great place to visit. Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, inbred ancestors, wait a minute...
ReplyDeleteI am dying to take the kids to South Dakota and go to Custer's battlefield and to Mt. Rushmore....eventually through Yellowstone and beautiful Montana....and of course, always looking for kitchy things along the way.
ReplyDeleteYes! We were talking about how cool it would be to see South Dakota. We also hope they can get a taste of Native American traditions. Last year we did Yellowstonem but then headed west. It was amazing. You seriously need to do it.
ReplyDeleteHey there! I haven't spent much time in the middle of our fine country - other than Detroit, which you should pass by as quickly as possible - and Louisville, Kentucky. I don't know that Louisville would be worth a stop. Now, the east coast... that's the jackpot. NYC, Pennsylvania, Boston, Washington DC, Virginia - we've got travel books on all of them if you're interested.
ReplyDeleteI came over from Lisa's blog...I look forward to more of your posts and photos!
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome! Your sister sent us your way! Consider me a friend!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention that there is a drive through cave not far from here, if you are interested.
